SL No Filter Diary – Week 1 🌻6th March 2026

It’s been quite a week behind the scenes.

On Monday I applied for the Bluebird Golden Pick competition in Nashville with my song Place to Be. It felt a bit scary putting myself forward but also exciting at the same time.

Tuesday I had a lovely gig performing in a care home and in the evening I went live for the very first time inside the Members Lounge. It felt really special knowing this is a little private space we can share together.

Wednesday was a stressful one. I was trying to sort out the bot issues on my website and eventually had to ask a professional to help me get everything under control.

I’ve also been teaching myself how to use WordPress and Elementor, which has meant staying up until about 4am most mornings this week trying to figure everything out… and crying most of the time, so if anything looks slightly chaotic behind the scenes, that’s probably why 😂

Yesterday I went busking in Felixstowe and finally got Nina fixed, which felt like a big relief. While I was there the artist Dominic Butler painted me while I was singing which was such a cool moment.

I also applied to perform at Country Calling Festival which would be amazing if it happens.

Here’s the reel from that:

Today I had a co-write with Matt Vincent Brown where we finished a song called Shadows to Sunlight. I’m actually performing it tonight which is always a little nerve-wracking but exciting too.

More than anything though, I just want to say thank you for being here with me in this little lounge. It means a lot knowing there are people who want to follow the real journey behind the music, the messy bits as well as the exciting ones.

I’m really grateful you’re here with me.
